Period of passing an official checkup
The vehicles are inspected in the bodies provided for in the second and third parts of Article 27 of this Law within the following periods in accordance with Part VI-I of Article 30 of the Law of Republic of Azerbaijan "On Road Traffic":1) Vehicles with a certificate of conformity for special technical safety for transportation of dangerous goods to the vehicles, as well as buses, trucks with a maximum authorized weight of more than 3.5 tons provided for in clauses 2-5 of the second part of Article 27 and the third part of this Law – once a year;
2) Vehicles provided for in clause 1 of the second part of Article 27 of this Law (except as provided in clause 1 of part VI of this Article):
- after four years from their production date – once every two years;
- after ten years from their production date – once a year.
While identifying the date of the next technical inspection, the periods provided for in Part VI of this Article are calculated from the date of the previous technical inspection. The failure to undergo technical inspection within 20 days from the date of the next technical inspection of the vehicle causes administrative liability in the manner prescribed by the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Article 339.1-1 of Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Driving a vehicle without technical inspection may result in fines – 50 manats in the period defined by the Law of Azerbaijan Republic “On Road Traffic”.
