Appeal of the Main STP Department to legal entities and individuals regarding truck driving in the capital

Recently movement of trucks on central and other streets of Baku during the day, for this reason traffic congestion, even traffic jam is observed in some territories. Subsequently removing the trucks which entered the city for providing services in construction or other business entities from the capital takes some time; as well as such vehicles prevent other traffic participants’ smooth and uninterrupted movement on roads.
By the relevant Decision of Road Traffic Safety Commission of Cabinet of Ministers on improvement of road traffic in Baku, except for special-purpose, including accident-rescue vehicles, as well as vehicles carrying agricultural products, entry of trucks with maximum allowed weight exceeding 5 tons into Baku shall be restricted between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. from May 1 to October 1 and between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. from October 1 to May 1. Note that movement of trucks owned by legal entities and individuals during restricted hours may be allowed only by permits that allow them to move on certain routes.
The Main State Traffic Police Department apply to all truck drivers, owners and carriers and ask them to respect restriction measures taken in order to reduce traffic congestion in the capital, to assess the situation appropriately and not to prevent other traffic participants’ smooth and uninterrupted movement.
