The possibility of congestion on the roads in the new academic year depends on the approach of parents
12.09.2022Taking into account that the intensity of traffic on the roads will increase due to the beginning of the new academic year, especially in the areas where educational institutions are located, preventive measures are being implemented by the Main STP Department together with the relevant institutions. Necessary measures are being taken, and personnel are being instructed to regulate traffic in areas where traffic congestion is expected, and for citizens to reach educational institutions and workplaces on time and easily.
However, we can say with certainty that along with the organizational and legal measures implemented for the prevention and elimination of traffic jams, the active participation of drivers and pedestrians in this area is one of the factors that significantly influence the solution of the issue.
Strengthening the sense of responsibility among road users, prioritizing public interests rather than personal ones, understanding of the situation especially by the individual car drivers, avoiding creating artificial tension for others, unconditionally following traffic rules, including stopping, standing and parking, have an important role in eliminating congestion observed in the capital area.
The analyzes conducted show that the main reason for the congestion in the streets and avenues passing through the area where the educational institutions are located, and in some cases, the traffic jams that last for hours, is precisely because drivers grossly violate the rules of stopping, standing and parking around the educational institutions.
Therefore, we ask parents who take their children to school by private transport, people working and studying in higher and secondary educational institutions, not to park their cars in prohibited places around the educational institutions and not create obstacles for other road users. Taking into account the current situation and common interests, they should prefer public transport, if it is not possible to refuse private vehicles, then they should unconditionally follow the rules of stopping and standing.
Each road user can contribute to the prevention of traffic jams that have a negative impact on the environment, our mood, our valuable time, it is enough to follow the recommendations, be humane and responsible for the sake of public interest.
