Message from the Main State Traffic Police Department to drivers planning weekend trips
24.05.2025Currently, unfavorable weather conditions are being observed across the country, which significantly increases the risk of road traffic accidents. Fog and rain, especially during nighttime and early morning hours, reduce visibility on the roads and create serious challenges for drivers.
Taking into account the expected increase in traffic, particularly on highways of national importance during the weekend, the Main State Traffic Police Department urges drivers traveling in private vehicles, as well as those engaged in freight and passenger transportation, to exercise increased caution under adverse weather conditions. Drivers are advised to travel during daylight hours whenever possible, maintain control over their speed, avoid using technically unfit vehicles, and strictly follow safety rules when overtaking and maneuvering.
