On the number of traffic participants involved in administrative liability for violation of the special quarantine regime and the measures taken on 24.07.2020

In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, a total of 941 traffic participants were brought to administrative liability for violation of the strict special quarantine regime applied in Baku, Jalilabad, Ganja, Masalli, Mingachevir, Sumgayit, Yevlakh cities and Absheron, Barda, Khachmaz, Goranboy, Goygol, Siyazan and Shaki regions, including 858 people traveling in vehicles under Article 211.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and 83 people in taxis and buses used in passenger transportation under Article 211.2 of the same Code for not using the personal respiratory protection equipment, during the period from 00:00 on 24.07.2020 to 00:00 on 25.07.2020.

During the said period, 60 vehicles, including 80 in the direction of the region, and 115 in the direction of the capital, were returned from the quarantine checkpoint located on the 52nd km of the Baku-Guba highway, 95 vehicles, including 25 in the direction of the region, and 130 in the direction of the capital, were returned from the checkpoint located on the 31st km of the Baku-Shamakhi-Yevlakh highway, 520 vehicles, including 200 in the direction of the region, and 320 in the direction of the capital, were returned from the checkpoint located on the 65th km of the Baku-Gazakh-Georgia highway, and the attempt of a total of 870 vehicles to cross the checkpoints without proper permission was prevented.
