Information of the Main STP Department of the MIA on traffic accident in Garadagh district of the capital, which resulted in the death of 1 passenger and injury of 5 people on September 11, 2020One passenger died and five others were injured in a traffic accident on the 55th km of the Baku-Gazakh-Georgia border highway in the Gobustan settlement at 06:20 this morning. During the investigation, the driver Mammadov Ramal Bilal, a resident of Absheron district, born in 1991 was regularly driving a “Mercedes Benz Vito” with state registration number 99-XF-890 on the basis of a power of attorney on September 10 at 8:30 in Baku and Sumgayit, left for Tovuz region at about 17:30, although he reached the area at 22:30, started moving towards Baku without rest, namely at around 2 o'clock on the night of September 11, jadedly and he fell asleep behind the wheel and crashed into the back of a truck parked on the side of the road at 6:20. As a result of the accident, an unidentified 45-50-year-old man died and 5 others were injured in a car accident in Tovuz region. Taking into account the increase in the traffic intensity of passenger cars with 7-8 seats on the inter-district roads of the country in recent days, the Main STP Department of the MIA asks the road participants, especially those who have to use taxi services to go to different cities and regions of the country in order not to repeat similar events not to use illegal taxi services to ensure their safety or to travel long distances at night with unknown drivers. There is no guarantee that the transportation will be safe because the work and rest regime of the drivers driving these vehicles is not controlled by any organization or company.
