Appeal to traffic participants in connection with the holiday
30.12.2021The Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs congratulates the traffic participants on the occasion of the upcoming December 31 - the Solidarity Day of the World Azerbaijanis and the New Year, and urges them to strictly follow the safety rules on the streets and roads to celebrate the holidays in a good mood.
It is known from the experience of previous years that on non-working days in connection with the holiday, city residents visit recreation areas located in different regions of the republic, and people from the regions come to the capital. For this reason, there is an increase in traffic intensity, and the haste of some drivers, exceeding the speed limit set without taking into account the existing traffic conditions, violating the rules of distance, overtaking and maneuvering increase the likelihood of accidents on the roads.
In view of the above, the Main State Traffic Police Department advises drivers not to violate traffic rules, to travel long distances in broad daylight, not to drive for a long time without a break, to check the technical condition of the vehicle before driving, to fasten seat belts and ensure that the passengers do so, to consider the speed and direction of vehicles, as well as weather conditions along the road, not to sit behind the wheel in a state of sleeplessness and drunkenness, and pedestrians to walk on the sidewalks, not to go on the roadways, to cross the roadways only in designated areas.
