State Traffic Police Department of the Republic of Azerbaijan
The Main State Traffic Police Department has appealed to drivers regarding road safety measures in the country
13 March 2020-th
An analysis of recent road accidents on the country's roads shows that most of those killed or injured in road accidents are drivers and passengers of old cars with a long service life, not equipped with modern safety equipment. But, unfortunately, despite the fact that the design of such cars provides seat belts, which are the only element of safety for all seats, and it is provided by the manufacturer, some vehicle drivers intentionally remove rear seat belts and this may result in death or serious injury to persons in the cabin during a collision or overturn.
To prevent such accidents Main State Traffic Police Department once again warns drivers that during the security measures that will be carried out throughout the country from March 15 if when stopping the car, the design of which provides seat belts, it will be found that they are removed, the driver driving this vehicle will be held administratively liable. The passenger will be administratively liable for the fact that the passenger of the car with the seat belts does not use them while driving, if any, regardless of the rear or front seat.
We hope that every participant in the movement will approach our request wisely, they will not endanger their life and the life of their family, following the rules of the road.
